It happened after reading one of Amit Bhawani’s monthly income reports. By some stroke of luck, I read a great comment from someone named Harsh Agrawal. I clicked on his comment, and it led me to a fantastic blog called ShoutMeLoud. Before reading SML, I was making small, insignificant websites for Orkut scraps, ringtone downloads, jokes, SMS features, and other useless things. I was thinking that one day my websites would become very famous, and I worked really hard to get them to generate traffic. I started getting nearly 100K visitors per month, but still I was unable to earn any significant amount of money. I was using AdSense, but after researching, I realized that my niches weren’t right for AdSense. After reading articles on ShoutMeLoud, I realized that I was actually wasting a lot of time and money in these various entertainment niches. The main reason was because these niches required a lot of multimedia items, and that required really good hosting. I was investing a lot, but I was earning nothing.
