The new Battlerite official first season came on 07.03.2018. All seasons since the release of Battlerite were preseasons or alpha seasons. The new season is coming with some really useful things and rewards. All the battlerite rating from previous seasons has been reset. From now on every Battlerite season will least for 10 weeks, and on end of the season the rewards will be given based on current or highest rating at end of the season that’s is not stated yet.
The new Battlerite first season sponsor system
New sponsor system grants additional rewards for daily quests and it lasts for the whole season. The sponsors can be signed for in quest menu, you can sign for one sponsor at the time, and you can choose what fits you best. While choosing sponsor you can see the rewards it offers so you can decide what would you want the most. Battlerite sponsor progress is done by completing the daily quests, the number of empty circles in sponsor reward field shows you how many quests you have to do for that field reward, once you completed all of the fields in area you will gain reward for that field and you will be moved on next one where you start to progress from start. By the end of the battlerite season which was announced for 15th may, you should be able to do all the quests from all sponsors if you don’t miss your daily quests, as you can store up to 3 daily quests it means you need to play every 3rd day so you don’t miss any sponsor rewards until end of battlerite season 1.
Battlerite Leaderboard system
Until now we had to visit other websites as battlerite-stats to see leaderboards, but from battlerite season 1, we will have leaderboard in-game. You will be able to see top 200 soloq players, top 200 2v2 and top 200 3v3 teams, their division, their win rate in season, and most played heroes. Sever is determined by most played games on some server.
Pre-lobby battlerite system
We know it was annoying for the most of ppl that you get bad team combo, no healer combo, you get blindly countered etc. Since battlerite season 1, we got pre-game lobby where we have order of picks and chat so we can assemble the team better. Most of the people are one trick heroes so it won’t matter much for them, but yet at least someone can change. This is a really good feature, as if you are 2nd to pick, you can counter pick their first pick or you can swap with your first pick in case you are one trick. This feature should make our game easier.
The battlerite season 1 reward changes
Mount that was award for grand champion rank now can be permanently unlocked once grand champion rank is accomplished, not a temporarily reward as before.
Top 5 players in battlerite leaderboard will get a unique title based on their rank archived on end of the battlerite season.
The new frames are added, they will represent your league and division so you can see on your icon your current league and division.
Battlerite season 1 got another useful feature and in-game chat where you will be able to see and reply whispers. In our opinion, it was annoying that mostly we didn’t have the notification that someone wrote or we couldn’t write/ answer while we were waiting round to start. You can switch in which channel you wanna write by pressing TAB.
Battlerite season 1 matchmaking improvement
The less important one is that players with rankings in previous seasons need to play only 5 games and new players gotta play 10 placement games, guess that’s enough about it .
The important change is that algorithm is changed so there will be less unbalanced matches, if there are not enough players playing on your current rank than you might get unbalanced match, but the gaining and losing division points is improved now, so even if you get an unbalanced match and you lose it, there won’t be normal rating loss, it will be a lot smaller,and the winners will get a bit rating up. This will balance the rankings, as people won’t be able to farm up divisions anymore, so a lot of people will be on their true rank.
Also the in match rank is removed, you cant see the rank of your teammate or the enemy anymore, it will be frustrating for most of the people, but actually that’s a good feature. Most of the ppl got over-cocky or overdefensive once they see the rank of enemies, which kinda has a big impact on the gameplay. There’s a lot of players who as well quit the games instantly if they see its unbalanced, or some just afk and crying on chat how it is unbalanced. Like this we hope that people will give their best without instant disappointment at the start of the match.
We hope that those new features and improvements will make a lot better gameplay and bring a lot more people into the game.
