We’re in a drought right now – New MMOs are scarce and current MMOs are looking stale. It’s a lamentable state to be in but here we are nonetheless. The first of which happens to be Lost Ark. I was going to start this one off with a joke about wanting to be the very best like noone ever was, but I feel like that joke is long past its prime. World of Warcraft is the largest MMORPG in the genre. There’s no denying that. It is also the most successful, has had more concurrent players than almost any other pay-to-play game online and.. well, I could go on. There aren’t many MMORPGs around that utilize this graphical style. Less than a handful. 2D MMOs just aren’t very popular anymore, and that’s a shame as it’s a genre I’ve enjoyed over my time gaming.
