There were a lot of moments in Fortnite that forced me to actually catch my breath with the way the game just throws husks at you like there’s no tomorrow in the mid to high levels. Even with your gadgets equipped and higher level heroes and abilities, the game really punishes you in each wave. Epic Games needs to find that balance, where players jumping into new level tiers won’t feel like they’re jumping over the great wall of China, before the game’s release. Tencent reported its Q1 2018 earnings earlier today and inside of it came an interesting nugget of information. Tencent reported that the wildly successful battle royale game Fortnite now has "over 40 million monthly active users across PC and console". The reason this came out during Tencent's earnings report is because they're a big shareholder in Fortnite's developer, Epic Games (Tencent owns 40% of Epic). 40 million monthly active users is an incredible feat, especially since the game hasn't launched in China yet. While Fortnite isn't the most popular PC game in the world, it's slowly trying to get there. While Epic’s previous lawsuits targeted creators and distributors of aimbots, this lawsuit deals with an exploit surrounding Fortnite’s premium currency V-Bucks. According to the lawsuit, Gosai is accused of developing and publicizing an exploit allowing people to gain free v-bucks without paying real money.
