hi dev, i saw a thread today on funding and saw that some players mentioned that the total funds raised is only about $160,000 and they are worried about the sustainability of the game. i have some suggestions which might attract huge mass of new players to buy FracturedMMO and also possibly VIP subscriptions. i don't know where to post this, so i post this on General Discussions. let's say when the game go live on 2021. then all players who buy the game will log in and play normally. but for players who never buy the game, let them log in but they can only start their character on a totally separate planet, eg let's call this planet Limbo. (this is only an example) On this planet Limbo, these players is free to explore and build whatever they want, craft whatever they want, or learn whatever skills, talents, abilities they want. For those that can't play yet and have not the time to watch a stream here little report about what can do and what not so far in the game. If you have question or just want to see a more detailed screen shot, raise your voice. I will try to answer. Character creation After the login you get to the character screen. Here you can choose an existing char or create a new one. When creating a new char you can only play humans so far. The choices you can make are quite limited, but please note you can change the colour of your underwear. Haven't seen that in any other game yet. On the next screen you set your name and stats for your char which do not change as long as the char exists. You can reduce the stats to 6 (gain points for other stats) or raise them till 18. Hey guys, I love character individualisation and the progression and I also love to work on my gear in an mmorpg. In Fractured, I worry that we just have that "throw away gear" because of the full body loot and because gear just differs by purpose but not by strenth. Only basic skills are alloted to the player classes in the start The advanced skills need to be obtained via questing or during adventuring. In all current mmos the skills are already pre assigned to the classes, there isnt any HUNT for the skills. This makes almost all the players having the same class have technically the same skills. Almost ALL mmos currently have a lot of emphasis on fighting and action oriented combat. Other aspects of MMOs such as Crafting (Weapons, Armor, Potions, Tools) is all but redundant.
