Today, Snail Games announced a special update for its free-to-play game Age of Wushu. The new chapter will introduce four advanced flying skills as well as a new instance and weapon. It also redesigns the Apprentice system and adds the ability to build a home near the sea. The new flying skills are modeled after real-world birds — the hawk, swallow, crane, and eagle. Each offers players something unique. The hawk skill allows players to leap into the air after a charging period. The swallow skill gives players an air-borne dash. The crane skill allows for gliding. Finally, the eagle skill gives players a burst of speed allowing them to descend to the ground in no time. As for the reworked apprentice system, players will be able to progress through training with a teacher, testing their skills and earning rewards along the way. Unfortunately, we don’t know the exact release date for this update. But, we’re sure Snail will let everyone know soon enough. … [Read more...] about Age Of Wushu Announces Special Edition Update

Top 5 Reasons Why We Need A New Dragon Age In 2019
In case you missed the news, BioWare is about to announce something new for its Dragon Age franchise in December. Plenty of BioWare folks like Mark Darrah has been teasing a new game in recent times, but this one feels solid. Casey Hudson’s hint that the announcement in December ties in nicely to the annual Game Awards, which has been a platform for announcing new games in the past. With that in mind, we’re salivating at the thought of a new Dragon Age game for this generation of consoles and PC graphics. Here’s why we need a new Dragon Age game in 2019. We Want To See Tevinter Let’s face it – we all adore Dorian Pavus as a companion in Dragon Age: Inquisition right? Besides being openly gay and fabulous, the character adds a lot more emotional weight to the cast. More importantly, Dorian’s idle party chatter in addition to all the lore drops in-game suggests one thing. It all pointed to the Tevinter Imperium. Tevinter Imperium is the oldest extant … [Read more...] about Top 5 Reasons Why We Need A New Dragon Age In 2019
Dear BioWare: Gives Us The Next Dragon Age Before It’s Too Late
Remember when BioWare teased a little trailer at the Game Awards in December last year? That almost seemed like a lifetime ago. We got a glimpse of Solas – the much misunderstood hero turn villain in the series’s last installment Dragon Age: Inquisition. Well that was way back in 2014, and now five years on, it’s beginning to feel like a drag. Fans and players want to know where the story goes, and because the narrative has been so good in the trilogy so far (gameplay not so much), it’s only inevitable that folks would be craving for more. Furthermore, developers BioWare are not having a good 2019. Anthem has made the news for all the wrong reasons, and one might suspect that the studio is buckling under that negativity. So please BioWare, here’s why we need the next Dragon Age before it’s too late. Or, give it to another studio worthy of completing the saga. We Want To See Tevinter Let’s face it – we all adore Dorian Pavus as a companion … [Read more...] about Dear BioWare: Gives Us The Next Dragon Age Before It’s Too Late

Age of Wushu Will Sell Abilities, At Least In China
I had a chance to see Age of Wushu at New York Comic Con, which intrepid sleuths should take to mean “there was a line about two hours long to play it.” The people I did manage to watch play while staring over their shoulders, however, seemed to be having a fun time. Regardless, news broke this week from Age of Wushu in China that the developers have installed two cash shop exclusive skills. While it is unlikely that this system will be anything but popular in China, Snail Game is walking on eggshells if they expect the same system to work in the western hemisphere once Age of Wushu hits North America and Europe. For their defense, the two skills are mostly for cosmetic reasons, versions of other skills that simply have better animations. RuneScape does this in a similar fashion by selling premium animations for actions like chopping wood and cooking food. According to players in the Chinese game, the skills aren’t very useful barring perhaps one or two, and players … [Read more...] about Age of Wushu Will Sell Abilities, At Least In China
