The PC adaptation of the popular RPG board game Gloomhaven will be entering Steam Early Access on July 17th. The game will cost $24.99 during the Early Access period. The Gameplay Trailer showcases the main mechanics at work during combat and exploration, being an introduction to Gloomhaven’s unique, deep and rich dungeon-crawling experience. This gives players a first taste of the digital exclusive Adventure mode based on roguelike mechanics. As a board game, Gloomhaven has raised $4.4 million on Kickstarter thanks to more than 45,000 backers. Designed by Isaac Childres, the Gloomhaven board game has been acclaimed by both players and critics alike, achieving the highest rating on BoardGameGeek and winning 6 Golden Geek awards, including “Board Game of the Year” in 2017. Meridian4 and Nvizzio have announced that their open world, co-op action game, Eden Rising: Supremacy will be coming to Steam Early Access in early May 2018. In Eden Rising: Supremacy, players land on an alien world and their arrival disrupts the planets peaceful equilibrium, causing the two inhabitants to go to war once more. The native wildlife; diverse, intelligent and deadly, take on the ancient machine race known as The Crucibles. The Crucibles have offered unfathomable power in return for protection, and players must unite their tribe and defend The Crucibles against the endless hordes of hostile alien life. Legends of Aria will have multiple patches in the course of the next several weeks followed by a major content update called ‘Frozen Tundra’. Also, a second larger update will be deployed on January 30th which will feature the Dungeon Expansion and the game will be ready to launch into Steam Early Access on ‘Early Spring’. The decision to launch on the Steam store with our next major content update has several benefits. There are only a handful of games you can celebrate launching by releasing an actual airship into the sky, but Worlds Adrift is one of them. And fortunately for the lighter-than-air flight crowd, that’s exactly what the studio did. Of course, it’s just an early access launch, but hey. Points along the way. More beta news? I guess, all right. There are hints of more details coming about Amazon’s New World. Which is good, because boy, sometimes the beta field is thin upon the ground. Speaking of things getting thin upon the ground… yeah, if you had invested in long-term stocks in Just Survive, you may want to unload those investments. If it sucks then it’s just alpha but if it’s final then it’s another bad game. I know.. what do you expect from an early access game? Well shiver my timbers and call me matey but some early access games are quite impressive and show a lot of potential. This evening I sat down and played Wild Terra , an upcoming MMO life simulator and by that I mean it’s an open world MMO where you are responsible for your survival , even if you are slightly impaired. Does the alpha suck? No , is it great? Hardly. It’s in between that fine line of good or bad and I’m undecided. Let’s work out the pros and cons; PROS You run around as a semi naked female (because females always get more loot in online games). You build things (yay!). You can destroy other people’s things they built (double yay!). CONS Getting started can be confusing (how do I build a house?!)
