The giveaway has ended. I’ll disallow comments. Give me a bit to roll the winners. :) Some time ago, we bought the Torchlight 2 game on Steam. If you buy it there, you get Torchlight 1 for free as well. We’ve got one extra copy of both games now. I am not sure how Torchlight 1 + 2 work exactly, but I would assume that since they are game keys we got from Steam, you will need a Steam account. Please keep that in mind when participating here! To clarify: You can enter to win ONE code for Torchlight 2 or ONE code for Torchlight 1. The rules 1. We will first “roll” (we usually use dice) the Torchlight 2 winner. After that, everybody EXCEPT for the winner of Torchlight 2 will have a chance to win Torchlight 1. The Game Awards 2018 is here, and going live in a few hours to celebrate the best games of 2018. Just like the year previously, this year’s line-up of GOTY contenders are solid and difficult to separate. Each offers something unique to players, and they do have some similarities, for instance, adventure and RPG. Therefore, let’s inspect the leading nominees and determine who deserves to win the Game Awards 2018’s Game of the Year prize. If Rift and Guild Wars 2 had a baby, I would probably end up with my perfect MMO. Both games have features that I really love while also missing the mark in other areas. Together, however, it’d be great. I love Rift’s open world. Switching between continents gives you a loading screen, but other than that, you can ride from one end to the other without encountering any loading screens! It’s just something I love in MMOs ever since I first experienced it in World of Warcraft once I had bought myself a computer that could run it reasonably well… I had only had a laptop at first and a very old desktop PC that had not been intended to be used for computer games. Anyway, it was so great being able to ride up a mountain and just looking around. I can do that in Rift as well. Of course, Guild Wars 2 has hills and mountains, too, but you can’t ever see the zone next to you. So the zones are usually visually blocked off by high mountains. And then there is … [Read more...] about Please give me Rift Wars 2 (Blaugust Post 6)
Despite having several installed on my phone, I don’t really play many mobile games. It’s less that I don’t enjoy them (I do) and more that I forget about them. However, with the recent PVP additions to Lineage 2: Revolution, I felt maybe it was time for me to come back and give it a whirl again. I did our early access review, and despite feeling like players can buy their way into good gear, at least at the start, I still very much enjoyed this game. The aesthetic is sharp, the character classes are fun, and there was an absolute wealth of content, even in the early days of the game. Now we have a new update, that brought a 200-player PVP mode, Castle Siege. In it, guilds team up to do battle against whoever happens to control the castle and brought with it a Castle Siege Festival. It offers EXP boosts for all characters, which makes it a terrific time to start playing. Though Castle Siege is presently in its pre-season (so rewards from it are not available … [Read more...] about Let’s Talk: A Return to Lineage 2: Revolution
