Meeting new people could be awkward for some of us. While some of us bask in the glory of meeting new people, it is difficult for many people to get out there and make a first impression that has a positive impact with whom they’ve met. Some people might be of the opinion that a person’s true motives and intentions couldn’t be figured out in the first meeting itself, but it does help to communicate your credibility non-verbally, through your body language. The way you present yourself in your first meet could make or break your long-term relationship with that person. Once you’ve taken care of your personal hygiene and dressed for the part, next up is how you communicate non-verbally. Your body language communicates your confidence and credibility and this is something that could be easily developed through practice. 7 Body Language tricks to become Instantly likeable Everyone wants people to genuinely like them since the moment they meet someone new. One of the most essentials skills to have been discontinued from teaching during your schooling age is typing. Although people tend to underestimate the value of typing faster and accurately, it is one of the most fundamental skill required in any field you wish to pursue. Be it in writing Emails, writing a blog post, or writing copy, typing is one of the most important skills. As a blogger, typing faster and better will save you a tremendous amount of time spent proofreading your article for typo mistakes and crafting the article itself. While the average typing speed is around 38-40 Words Per Minute, the world-record for the fastest typing speed is of Stella Pajunas, who struck a whopping 216 WPM on an IBM Electric Typewriter! Typing accurately is also just as important as typing faster is. There is a speed-accuracy tradeoff that has to be considered when you begin practicing typing faster. Faster is not always better if your accuracy is getting compromised in the process. Aiming for … [Read more...] about How to Improve Your Typing Speed and Accuracy
Stash is the name of a Kickstarter funded, new turn-based, isometric, free-to-play PC based MMO game from developer Frogdice. Stash is the graphical successor to Frogdice’s Threshold RPG, which is their text based, role play required MUD still in operation after twenty some years (since June 1996). Stash prides itself with having a tabletop pen-and-pencil design and an old-school charm interwoven into a unique RPG and community gaming experience. The question is, with a suggestive name like “Stash” does this game really deliver the “goods”? This is our review of Stash for the PC. advertisement Stash starts out like any other MMO with a character creation process. The artwork is more on the cartoonish side with plenty of solid, vibrant colors. Race selection choices are varied where you can choose anything from human, Trulloc (think DAoC Troll), upright wolf or upright cat folk. There are a basic number of character style attributes you can … [Read more...] about Does It Deliver the Goods?
Back to Normal This morning signals the return to my normal routine. Over the course of the math camp I have allowed myself to veer significantly from the path I normally take. This means a lot of things, including being far more sluggish about making my blog posts within a scheduled timeframe. Additionally my diet and walking regiment fell completely apart in the face of eating out so many times. That said it is time to buckle down and return the tray tables in their upright position and prepare for landing. It feels so weird to be going back to work today, and I am dreading being deluged by a weeks worth of stuff that set unsorted out. I have only slightly followed my email while I was out, and dealt with a few fires… and postponed a few others for this week. I know I have an extremely full plate waiting on me, and hopefully my coworkers will be forgiving as it is going to take me a little bit to get back into the swing of things. … [Read more...] about Hitbox Frustrations
Last night on a whim after running my Emmisary quests on Horde side I decided to start playing something else. For a long time I have had a level 20 Forsaken Hunter, but I have this major problem playing anything with the “horde hunch”. While I realize that is eventually going to be optionally not a thing… there is also the major problem I have with the Forsaken in that they cannot wear anything but trashed out armor. If I could be an upright walking normal armor wearing Forsaken… that would probably cause me to re-evaluate a lot of my choices in life. However I can’t and I doubt they will ever taken away the iconic exposed bone thing from them so… until that date that is likely never going to happen I am probably going to bounce the fuck off playing one. I wound up deleting my old hunter and re-rolling as a Tauren, which coincidentally was my very first World of Warcraft character back in beta. I … [Read more...] about Poorly Dressed Hunter
