World of Warcraft's 7th expansion launched last week and it seems the MMORPG king has secured its throne one again. Battle For Azeroth has seen strong sales, including pre-orders ahead of projections. As of this writing, World of Warcraft is the #3 most watched game on Twitch.tv, trailing behind Dota 2 (in the midst of its annual global championship), and Fortnite. We here at MMOs.com are divided on the game. While I have played it almost non-stop since release, quickly hitting 120 and eagerly gearing up for the upcoming raid next month, Omer hasn't been quite as drawn in. The pull of Final Fantasy 14 proved too strong, with WoW unable to pry him away from Square Enix's MMORPG. Welcome to this quick Taloc boss guide! The Battle for Azeroth Uldir raid opens tonight, September 4th, and by now players are raring to go. Located in Nazmir on the Zandalar continent, the entirety of the Uldir raid is in an old laboratory and a quarantined place. It’s a dark sanctum of secrets which has been locked away for centuries.  However, with the corruption of the Zandalari, Uldir must be conquered in order to defeat the the final boss: the Blood God G’huun. The first boss of the raid will be Taloc, and below is a brief TLDR guide for players interested in the raid. Also important to note, tonight’s unlock is only for Normal and Heroic difficulty, with Raid Finder (LFR) and Mythics coming later on September 11th. According to the Korean media, mid-size games developer Vespa, the creator of mobile RPG King’s Raid, has submitted a securities report to the Financial Services Commission in view of being publicly listed on KOSDAQ, the trading board of Korea Exchange (KRX). The number of shares available is reportedly 1,600,000, with each worth between 44,800 Won (39.50 USD) to 59,700 Won (52.70 USD). This means a minimum of 63.2 million USD! Founded back in 2013, King’s Raid has steadily helped Vespa become a force to be reckoned with in the saturated mobile gaming market. According to financial reports, Vespa made a operating profit of 6 million USD in the year 2017, massive for a developer which only launched King’s Raid early in the same year. Final Fantasy XIV has just deployed its latest Patch 5.01 today. The patch introduces the first 8-man raid to the MMORPG since Square Enix launched the Shadowbringers expansion on July 2nd. Known as Eden, the raid has 4 duty’s in total. Players can begin exploring them by picking up the new quest ‘In the Middle of Nowhere from The Crystarium. You’ll need to have completed the main scenario quest for Shadowbringers in order to be eligible however. Besides the new stories and the raid, new rewards have also arrived on Final Fantasy XIV. Treasure coffers that appear upon completing Eden’s Gate will not yield gear, but instead yield tokens that can be traded for gear of your choosing. You can only receive one token per individual Eden raid each week. In the event you are awarded a token from the loot list, you relinquish your right to vie for all remaining tokens regardless of whether you selected Need or Greed. I would like to close out this week with a lighthearted story of a MT in Labyrinth of the Ancients from an alliance roulette we ran this past weekend. Now, I still love Crystal Tower raids. But when you’ve run them a million times, you pretty much know the drill by heart. So, it’s not unusual to make up a bit of fun as you go along. One of those things we do for fun is pretend “racing” from one boss room to the next. I mean, those purple lines on the ground are finish lines, right? So, my alliance (and just about everyone I see in these raids) always sprint through transition areas, trying to be the first into the next room. Why not? As long as you’re not sprinting ahead to pull the boss before everyone is ready, there’s no harm in it. Apparently, someone in our raid thought otherwise. They must have been holding a private conversation about it that suddenly turned into a miss-tell. The response to this was priceless.
