Back in 2015, Star Citizen passed a million registered users. At this point, the game has passed two million. Three years later, it’s doubled. It also means that the staff behind the game wants to celebrate by giving backers a shirt. Not a real shirt, though; an in-game shirt! So you don’t have to just tell your co-workers that you were part of the two million backer mark, you can show it off to the people who are more likely to think you’re cool. Preview art for both the two million backer shirt and the one million backer shirt are available now; the latter is blue while the former is red, so even if you didn’t notice the number on the back you can still tell the difference. The epic saga of Epic Games’s legal battles over Fortnite dance emotes continues as the mother of the player popularly known as Orange Shirt Kid has filed a suit against the studio seeking to have the Orange Justice dance removed from the game. This case is a bit unusual, however, compared to the lawsuits brought forward by rapper 2 Milly and actor Alfonso Ribeiro, as the Orange Shirt Kid originally submitted the Orange Justice dance — originally called The Random — directly to Epic as part of the studio’s Boogie Down contest, which called for players to submit their dances for a chance at being added to the game. Although Orange Shirt Kid’s dance didn’t actually win the contest, it quickly gained popularity among the game’s community (and the internet at large), and a subsequent Change.org petition garnered 14,428 signatures, and the dance ultimately ended up in the game anyway. The holiday itself has NPCs walking through Orgrimmar and Stormwind firing little wrapped bundles of shirt goodness, which can be picked up to acquire a variety of different extant shirts in the game. Heading into Steam early access today is new isometric game called Corrupted, and if it looks familiar, that’s because it’s from Juvty Worlds, which also operates PvP sandbox Wild Terra. The new game appears to utilize Wild Terra’s world and graphics; the sole user review active as I type this rather uncharitably calls it an “asset-flip” and more of a “wave defense” title than an ARPG, but it definitely takes after its MMORPG kin on the surface. For its part, Juvty says the game is a “mix of arcade, RPG and visual novel” in which you’ll “fight off the hordes of monsters and break through to the truth” and “discover new skills and improve your combat arsenal” as you cleave your way through enemies. This early access edition includes a 20-chapter campaign, multiple biomes, and a “twisted” storyline.
