Conan Exiles is Funcom’s take on an open world, survival Conan world where players write the stories and create the fun with the tools at their disposal. The game is finally exiting early access to launch globally on May 8th 2018, and much has changed. Since our review almost a year ago, the dev team has continued to iron out issues and improve gameplay based on early access feedback. Now that we’re a month away from launch, are the new changes worth checking out? Here’s what’s coming. A New Combat System The new combat system is very different and a huge improvement on the old one. The new system for Conan Exiles will have the brutal, tactical and savage combat which a Conan game deserves. The first thing you might notice is the new visual style. All weapons (swords, daggers, hammers, maces, spears, great swords etc) are getting their own attacks and animations. Conan Exiles Preparing For Global Launch On May 8th, Releases New Trailer  After 14 months of Early Access, Conan Exiles finally receives its full launch on May 8th, becoming available all over the world digitally and in physical retail. Conan Exiles Is Heading East: Japan, Korea and More Funcom is excited to announce that Conan Exiles, the studio’s open world survival game launching on May 8th, will be receiving a broad, localized release in several Asian territories. The company is teaming up with Spike Chunsoft to release Conan Exiles both digitally and in retail across Japan. Funcom is also joining forces with H2 Interactive to release Conan Exiles digitally and through retail stores in Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Singapore. “ Conan Exiles is one of our most international releases ever and that can only be achieved with strong, local partners,” says Funcom CEO Rui Casais. “We are both honored and excited to be working with experienced publishers of this caliber. Conan Exiles, the buy to play survival game from Funcom, is officially launching on May 8th, 2018 after 14 months of early access. The game will be available on PC, Xbox, and PS4. To celebrate the upcoming launch, Funcom released the following new Conan Exiles trailer: The biggest changes with full release is a revamped combat system, 2 new giant maps, new Purge PvE invasions, farming, fast travel, new perks, gear, and more. Conan Exiles Is Now The Best-Selling And Fastest-Selling Game In Funcom History Funcom announced today that Conan Exiles, the recently launched open world survival game, is now both the best-selling and fastest-selling game in the company’s history. Conan Exiles has now surpassed Funcom’s previous record-holder, the 2008 massively multiplayer game Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures. That game sold 1.4 million units by the time it went free-to-play three years after its initial release. Kicking off Early Access in January 2017 with full launch in May 2018, Conan Exiles broke this record in less than half that time. After the success of the first DLC, The Imperial East, Funcom is also excited to announce that Jewel of the West, the second DLC, will be launching in early August.
