Conan Exiles Welcomes New Endgame Dungeon and Other Updates
Funcom has released a free, major update for Conan Exiles which includes a brand-new dungeon, a host of new items, area revamps and balancing tweaks. The update is now available on PC, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to follow soon. The Warmaker’s Sanctuary is the game’s new endgame dungeon, containing some of the toughest foes to date and a brutal showdown with The Warmaker’s Champion. The dungeon is the fourth to be released since launch one year ago. Several areas of the game have also received an overhaul, with new loot, recipes and bosses present all over Hyboria. Certain mechanics, including the temperature system, have also received attention from the developers, resulting in better balancing and a more intuitive functionality. The Survivalist: Conan Exiles’ Picts, pets, and pokey arrows
In a world where no game is perfect, I continue to be pleased with the progress Conan Exiles keeps making. I’m also happy that Funcom has been sticking to its promise to keep all content that was expected in alpha free to players. Both of these points were demonstrated in the survival game’s latest major update. But let’s be real, we’re here to talk about the one really important thing. Pets! Yes, pets. That much-desired feature that didn’t make it in before launch was finally implemented, and that makes for one very happy MJ. Along with pets (did I mention pets?) came a slew of specialty arrows, a new religion, a fun (pet-themed) dungeon, new off-hand combos, and more. Or so I’ve been told. I mostly only noticed the pets. Did you see the pets? There may be a few kinks and a few things I’d like to see changed, but I’ve been busy enjoying it all. Mostly pets. Conan Exiles plans to toughen up raiding
Responding to claims that raiding in Conan Exiles is way too easy as it is right now, Funcom said that it will soon address these issues by balancing sieges and village assaults. In a post on Reddit, a representative said that a patch is coming tomorrow to toughen up tier 1 and tier 2 buildings so that they won’t be so easy to take down. Other adjustments to improve the raiding scene including making steel (and as a result, steel weapons) more rare and stripping arrows of the ability to harm structures. “This is just the beginning of the early access balancing act, and we’re going to be keeping a close eye out on how you all adapt to these changes and other adjustments we make as new features are introduced,” the studio said.
