Conan Exiles is looking forward to a big December patch with battle mounts just in time for Christmas. “Ever since launch of Conan Exiles, players have craved for mounts to be added to The Exiled Lands. This December will see that desire come true,” Funcom said today. “A free update will see all Exiles able to capture and train their own mounts, as well as a new pet leveling system and mounted combat. This means players will finally be able to charge into battle, wielding their sword high, driving their enemies before them!” While mount system will indeed be a free update for everyone, but most likely you’re still going to want the associated $9.99 Riders of Hyboria pack with its “a wider range of mounts and armor, though not any gameplay advantages.” We’re tucking the bizarre trailer down below, but, uh, it kinda telegraphs wanton bunny murder by peeps on horses? So yay, horses, but… the bunnies. Source: Press release, blog … [Read more...] about Free battle-ready mounts charge into Conan Exiles in December

Funcom this week published their second quarter results for 2019 and they are pretty much okay. Funcom’s CEO Rui Casais referred to 2019 as a transition year for Funcom between the turnaround and growth phases of the company where those changes may not be immediately visible. Presumably he is referring to Funcom’s revenue and profit for the second quarter which despite boasting a 53% increase from last quarter is moderately over half of last year’s numbers. $8.9 million in revenue in Q2 2019 compared to $15.2 million in 2018 as well as $600,000 in profit compared to $5.8 million in 2018. The numbers makes sense as 2018 brought in Conan Exiles and Mutant: Year Zero and Funcom didn’t have as big of a title to publish this year outside of Conan Unconquered which didn’t quite live up to expectations. On the plus side, the company has shed its $3.4 million in debt since last year and is in a strong, growing cash position. With Conan Unconquered we saw an … [Read more...] about Funcom Q2 2019: Conan Exiles Strong, Unconquered Not So Much

Conan Exiles is Funcom’s take on an open world, survival Conan world where players write the stories and create the fun with the tools at their disposal. The game is finally exiting early access to launch globally on May 8th 2018, and much has changed. Since our review almost a year ago, the dev team has continued to iron out issues and improve gameplay based on early access feedback. Now that we’re a month away from launch, are the new changes worth checking out? Here’s what’s coming. A New Combat System The new combat system is very different and a huge improvement on the old one. The new system for Conan Exiles will have the brutal, tactical and savage combat which a Conan game deserves. The first thing you might notice is the new visual style. All weapons (swords, daggers, hammers, maces, spears, great swords etc) are getting their own attacks and animations. The attacks consist of a wide range of lunges, sweeps, jumps, cleaves, slashes and dashes. This … [Read more...] about Conan Exiles 2018: Is Conan Exiles Worth Playing At Launch Come May 8th?
