Meanwhile, Conan fans on PC are chafing over the revelation that the preorder bonuses are platform-specific and even those willing to buy the game multiple times (say, to apply both a digital PC and box PC code) are stymied by the fact that the box won’t be sold in multiple regions, including the USA. Funcom’s response thus far has been to tell players to order the game overseas from a vendor that doesn’t region-block, so don’t look for any assistance from the studio, apparently, if you’re desperate to get your hands on an Atlantean sword. … [Read more...] about Conan Exiles outlines its day-one patch plans as players grumble over preorder bonuses
Conan exiles when do servers wipe
It has happened! While some games can never escape the grasp of the early access beast, the mighty Conan Exiles has strangled this beast and left its broken corpse laying by the side of the road. The good What’s so good about the launch? For one, it actually did! Talk about a rarity in this genre. While so many other titles are languishing in three, four, even five plus years of early access, Conan Exiles broke free from that non-launch’s deadly grasp with just a year and three months in early access. From beginning to end, early access was just 15 months. Once Funcom set a hard launch date rather than a launch window, it stuck to it. Yes, it cut a bit of content to make that happen, but that content will remain free if/when it makes it to the game. This is gold star material here, folks. The Verdict is officially in: Conan … [Read more...] about The Survivalist: The good, the bad, and the barbaric of Conan Exiles’ launch
As always, we consider an MMO to be in open testing if it features free, public signups and will server wipe prior to launch. An MMO is marked in closed testing if it’s running a private test phase that cannot freely be accessed by the general public; it’s usually under NDA as well. Early access and crowdfunded MMOs whose tests we deem legitimate will be included. So-called “open beta” soft-launch MMOs with cash shops, no sign of launch in the west, or limited interest for our readers will not be listed; we also do not list expansions, with occasional exceptions. … [Read more...] about Betawatch: Boxes of sand survival for Conan Exiles and Wild West Online (May 11, 2018)
