4. Skimmer Skimmer’s are up next, when this beatiful animal resembles the Manta Ray in the world of Guild Wars 2. As far as usefulness is concerned, its combat ability takes precedence over its special movement ability. When tiered up with Mastery Points, the Skimmer can combat revive any downed player on the landscape. This is particularly useful for landscape events and boss fights both in Core Tyria and in the Crystal Desert. It’s movement ability however, is a one trick pony involving bodies of water. Skimmers glide over water surface, making it faster to travel long distances to reach locations separated by seas and rivers. The latter ability will be situational, but very handy in areas like The Desolation where water makes up 50% of the landscape. … [Read more...] about Top 5 Guild Wars 2 Mounts Ranked From Worst To Best
The Grinds Are Optional And one of the best things GW2 does very well is making sure that players don’t feel the burn that we’ve all felt from other MMORPGs. This event still tops one of the most played events in game, and often requires you to get into the zone early so you get a spot with good zone-mates. This event still routinely fails, as the phases require strong coordination to ensure the mega-laser … [Read more...] about Returning to Guild Wars 2 – World Boss Wonderment
So here’s the thing. My next mount race wasn’t going to be on this list until I popped out a Roller Beetle. This run around the docks by Atholma Waypoint in intended to show you around the outskirts of the Olmakhan village. In reality, it’s a pretty straightforward run that, given a skimmer isn’t particularly testing. However, for any of you that have a Roller Beetle available, the change in mount turns the whole thing into a high-risk speed bowl. A series of rickety docks wind around the nearby shoreline. Chasing across the wooden track as it stretches out into the water, with the depths beneath it, requires the accurate use of air brakes and guarantees some testing moments as you cling to the unguarded edge of this track. Just try not to go veering off into a high-speed plunge into the wet stuff, Roller Beetles don't swim so well.. … [Read more...] about Guild Wars 2 Mount Racing Making a Mountain out of a Wurmhill
