In case you missed it the first time around, Guild Wars 2 will be bringing back the World Boss Rush event later this week. Running from July 16-23, ArenaNet has stated that this time there are several improvements to the overall event, including the addition of more tangible community-wide rewards for all participating players. One of the rewards is a big pile of currency – 50 of a Living World Season 4 map currency. Elisabeth Cardy: When we first started brainstorming around this campaign, it was based on stories we’d heard of people who had met their significant other in game, but we really wanted to recognize that it’s not just romantic relationships that can have a deep impact on our lives. To that end, we were looking for a title that encompassed relationships of all sorts. GW2 also features a skill system that allows players to easily change skillsets by simply equipping the appropriate weapon type. Although, unlike Final Fantasy XIV, equippable weapon types still depend on the hero’s profession or class. Also, while the available skills seem a bit limited, the system still gives players the freedom to fine tune their hero’s skills to fit their playing style or a particular situation, boss, or mob. Skills are automatically improved as the character gains levels. They can also be manually improved by unlocking and selecting Traits.
