No Man’s Sky seems to be trying to make up for lost time because we’ve got another major content drop headed our way barely a month after The Abyss rolled out on October 29th. Hello Games unveiled the new update called “Visions” in a recent press release along with a release date that would've probably caught anyone by surprise. “Following “The Abyss” update released last month, which brought major changes to No Man’s Sky’s vast underwater environments, “Visions” will encourage players to return to the surface and explore new biomes and planets, all in a reimagined colour palette.” Visions will feature new worlds and planets that players can explore along with new flora and fauna including carnivorous trap plants just waiting to ensnare unwary explorers. Hello Games is teasing out No Man's Sky Beyond, the next major step forward for the game. Sean Murray said that Beyond will make big changes to the game in the same way that the Next content expansion did in summer 2018. Most notably, Murray wrote about "No Man's Sky Online", though he did say that NMS is not an MMO but that it will feature "a radical new social and multiplayer experience which empowers players everywhere in the universe to meet and play together". "We will talk more about each of the three major components of Beyond when we know we can be precise and look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks."
