Another Epic Games Fortnite lawsuit has been settled this month. Back in October, Epic Games filed lawsuits against a number of people creating and disseminating cheats for Fortnite in California and North Carolina state courts. A couple of those cases have already been settled and it looks like most of these cases will end with the defendants permanently barred from (possibly) playing and definitely from creating, using, or distributing cheats for Fortnite or any of Epic’s other titles. Epic alleges that Yakovenko created, developed, and/or wrote a purported software cheat for Fortnite’s Battle Royale game mode; Yakovenko then created and posted several videos on YouTube to advertise, demonstrate, and distribute his cheat; Yakovenko’s videos feature Epic’s FORTNITE mark and full screen gameplay using the purported cheat; and while Yakovenko’s “cheat” does not appear to be a functional Fortnite cheat, it functions as a bitcoin miner that … [Read more...] about Another Epic Games Lawsuit Settled With Permanent Injunction

7 I want to cut to the chase in my review of Fortnite. It’s really boring. 🙁 I’m sad because I wanted it to be amazing. I saw a L4D meets Orcs Must Die! meets building game that just screamed of all kinds of things I love smashed into one. What I played was a hodgepodge of samey, F2P cash grabby, boringness. Levels are Suuuuuuper Repetitive You end up having to replay the exact same missions over and over to satisfy quests and progress. You’re stuck going through the same “survive this wave while X happens” and it breaks all immersion when you have to go back and grind it again to satisfy a new quest requirement. Car Smashing and Zombie Shooting = Dull Gameplay Combat is way too samey. Every minute of gameplay feels like the last. And if the missions/quests were going to be so repetitive, the least they could have done is given us some variety of zombies or combat styles. It’s all “hold left click” gameplay. Difficulty … [Read more...] about Fortnite Review: So That’s Why It’s Not On Steam
It’s always unfortunate when MMO games shut down. While the genre as a whole has never been better with the rise of online multiplayer bringing a surge of new games, it’s not always a happy ending. With competition for player attention and revenue at an all time high, some games and studios just cannot compete with what’s already established. With that said, here’s our list of five MMOs that got shut down despite being fun to play. 5. Wildstar It’s hard to believe that Wildstar is no longer with is. This free to play (wasn’t when launched) MMORPG gave us the bright, colorful and unique world of Nexus that showed bags of promise. Two factions, the Exiles and the Dominion vying for survival and ownership of this foreign world was just the tip of the iceberg. The game’s combat was fresh, its dungeons and raids at end-game hard for those that dare to do it. Overall, Wildstar offered many high points, like its amazing housing system and movement … [Read more...] about Top 5 MMO Games That Have Been Shut Down Recently
