A new report by Newzoo shows that mobile gaming now makes up over half of the global gaming market by revenue. In their latest quarterly update to their Global Games Market Report, Newzoo forecasts that total gaming revenue for 2018 will hit $137.9, a 13.3% increase from last year. Mobile gaming will make up $70.3 billion (51%) of that total. The report also includes projections of the global gaming market to 2021. While mobile will continue to be the best performing segment, its success will not come at the expense of console or PC gaming. Both PC and Console gaming are projected to see increases in nominal terms though they will both lose market share to mobile. The report also includes a breakdown of revenue by region. China takes the largest cut: $37.9 billion (28%) of the global total. The US comes second at $30.4 though it would be interesting to see the platform breakdown for each region. One would suspect the US console share is higher than the global average since China has … [Read more...] about Mobile Gaming Now Makes Up Over 50% Of Global Gaming Market

Blade and Soul Revolution Launches in South Korea, Catapults to #1 Spot As Highest Grossing Mobile Games
The mobile Blade and Soul spin-off Blade and Soul Revolution launched in South Korea earlier this week and quickly took the #1 spot as the highest grossing mobile game on iOS. Netmarble, the game's developer, had to expand server capacity 4 times already to accommodate the millions of users rushing to try the game. Unlike most mobile spin-offs, Blade and Soul Revolution aims to stay true to the PC version of the game as much as possible, meaning combat will be action oriented and the game will be heavy on story-telling. The game currently only has 4 playable races and 4 classes, but more will be added in the future. An English release is planned for global markets sometime in 2019, but no word on exactly when that's scheduled to happen, but my guess is it happens sometime during the first half of the year. How to Play Langrisser Mobile on PC
Langrisser Mobile launched in English worldwide on January 22, 2019 for Android and iOS. While there isn't any official PC client for the game, it is playable on the PC using any of the big Android emulators. How to Play Langrisser Mobile on PC: Simply download your favorite android emulator and find Langrisser Mobile on the Google play store then install it. I've personally downloaded and played Langrisser as well as numerous other mobile games on the PC using Blue Stacks. Both Blue Stacks and Nox are the best Android Emulators from my experience with Bluestacks being the easiest to use. After downloading and installing Bluestacks or any other Android Emulator, open up the Google Play store and simply search 'Langrisser Mobile'. You'll be prompted to log in to your Google account the same way you would on any mobile device. I personally use a separate throwaway Gmail account for mobile gaming on Bluestacks, but using your primary email works too. One of the primary benefits of playing … [Read more...] about How to Play Langrisser Mobile on PC
