Hello everyone! I'm a new member in the community and my introduction can be found in here: https://forum.fracturedmmo.com/topic/6972/hello-my-short-introduction-first-thoughts-and-hopes/ as well as in the Polish area of the forums. I'd like to present you some basic ideas for a character I'd like to try to create. As an avid wolf lover the choice it's pretty obvious- I will go with Udoadra from the Wolf-Kin. Just by reading the description of the race I already have a clear picture in my mind of what I'd like my character to be like. I would like to play a wolf druid, mostly focused on a support role. I imagine I would be able to have some ally creatures/animals when in battle, perhaps summoning or simply controlling them and then enhancing using various magical buffs on them. Same goes with other allies- players. I imagine staying in the back during the fights, possibly healing them, applying buffs as well as some crowd control spells to help. Other interesting aspect that I am … [Read more...] about An idea for a Wolf Support/Druid character from a new member in the community and an avid wolf lover.

Ever pause during your day and find yourself wondering, “Whatever happened to that game?” With hundreds upon hundreds of online titles these days, it’s surprisingly easy for MMOs to fall through the cracks and become buried as more aggressive or active games take the spotlight. Well, every so often we here at Massively Overpowered find ourselves curious what has transpired with certain MMOs that we haven’t heard from in quite a while. Have we missed the action and notices? Has the game gone into stealth maintenance mode? What’s the deal? What has it been up to lately? That’s when we put on our detective hats and go sleuthing! In this week’s edition, we’ll be catching up with three (pseudo-)MMOs that you might not have thought about in a while. So what’s been going on with Divergence Online, Tree of Life, and Eternal Crusade? Boy, does this one dredge back up some memories — mostly of news and not of actual … [Read more...] about Whatever happened to Divergence Online, Tree of Life, and Eternal Crusade?
If you had told me five years ago that Perfect World Entertainment would not only own but make many of the games that they bought from other studios into something great again, I would not have believed you. But here we are, and PWE owns and operates Star Trek Online and Neverwinter from Cryptic, and one of the two games I’m going to talk about today: Torchlight Frontiers. As I mentioned in my Remnant: From the Ashes article, PWE ran me through demonstrations of three of its games, mostly giving me free rein to explore where I wanted. In Neverwinter, I was set free in a dungeon written and voiced by Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins of Penny Arcade fame. PAX West 2018 couldn’t have been a better location to try out that particular dungeon. And the Torchlight devs let me run around the open-world before jumping me into a personal dungeon. Both of the games had some good points and some bad points; let’s discuss them. Penny Arcade writing D&D I like to call … [Read more...] about PAX West 2018: The PWE gauntlet of Neverwinter and Torchlight
Former ArenaNet developer Jessica Price has just made a string of new statements on Twitter discussing some of the issues surrounding the ongoing Guild Wars 2 PR nightmare, in which she and fellow developer Peter Fries were booted from ArenaNet following a Twitter altercation that mobilized a Reddit mob. Her primary complaint seems to be with her allegation that ArenaNet – especially Mike O’Brien – “escalated” her (and Peter Fries’) firing, knowing what the mob’s response would be. “The announcement was an escalation. The company could have chosen to say “their remarks don’t represent the company, we don’t agree with what they said, and they’re no longer with the company,” she writes. “That’s not what they did. They framed an interaction on my personal social media in which I told a few individuals who (I thought) were being assholes that I wasn’t on the clock and wasn’t … [Read more...] about Former Guild Wars 2 developer criticizes ArenaNet boss for ‘solicitation of harassment’ and minimization of her work
