Considering that Wild West Online is a wild dud these days, players looking for multiplayer western action are turning their eyes to Red Dead Redemption 2. The game is coming out for consoles on October 26th, but Rockstar Games continues to be cagey as to whether or not the open-world title will make an appearance (as is rumored) on PC. … [Read more...] about Red Dead Redemption 2’s gameplay video makes the west look like an activity-packed theme park
Our readers will surely be aware that journalists are generally under no legal obligation to suppress leaked material on behalf of corporations unless they have agreed to some form of NDA themselves. The lack of information provided in this case (for example, whether TrustedReviews came by the “confidential” material legally under British law) makes it difficult to draw conclusions, but it’s not hard to see that Take-Two’s clear threat to sue video game outlets, most of whom do not have a million bucks to defend themselves against a $13B company whether or not they are in the wrong, could have a “chilling effect” on the industry. … [Read more...] about Take-Two seems to have strong-armed a British tech site over Red Dead Redemption 2 leaks

In light of the successful quarter, the company now “expects revenue to range from $2.66 to $2.71 billion (up from expectations of $2.55 to $2.65 billion)” as well as “net bookings of $2.89 billion to $2.94 billion,” and “income is expected to range from $354 to $367 million.” … [Read more...] about Red Dead Redemption 2 leads the charge in Take-Two’s unexpectedly successful third quarter
