Being a blogger or an e-commerce site owner, we have to keep a track of performance analysis of all our pages. Being a blogger, it’s our job to identify weak or low performing pages, and improve the conversion on them. When I talk about conversion, I talk about converting user into sales. For a blog, it could be Email subscription, affiliate sales or anything. The point here is to make a page, an actionable page. “My blog has seen dropping page views, what do I do?” Analyze what went wrong, what went right earlier, what needs to be fixed etc. How do you decide, which step to take? Collecting website usage statistics page views for my blog: Think of your blog as a store with multiple rack shelves. Each page, heading, sub heading is a spot you can sell (if you are a seller sort of a blogger that is). Everyday, many … [Read more...] about Why Collecting Website Usage Statistics is Important?

Ad blocking isn’t going anywhere. The ad tech industry has learned this the hard way after fighting tooth and nail over the past couple of years. PageFair cited double-digit growth in ad block adoption back in 2015. eMarketer concurred with its own report in 2016. But there are silver linings despite revenue loss. Just as fake news highlighted the importance of bona-fide journalists and publishers, ad blocked inventory pushed media sellers and vendors towards making ad experience better for consumers on all devices. The results of user-friendly measures make ad block impact look not quite as severe as PageFair or eMarketer would have us believe. If publishers continue to respond to the ad-blocking threat with measured approaches, by 2020, revenue losses from ad blocking will be $10.5 billion (£7 billion) in the U.S., and $1.9 billion (£1.3 billion) in the U.K. The silver lining to that steep bill: It’s far lower than the $78 billion in losses Ovum predicts if … [Read more...] about Statistics from Around the World

Superdata Statistics for February Released
The Fortnite Battle Royale hype train continues. Superdata Research released their February, 2018 statistics this week for the highest grossing games and Fortnite came out ahead this month surpassing heavyweights like World of Warcraft and Hearthstone. Playerunknown's Battlegrounds remained 1 spot ahead this month, but I suspect Fortnite should surpass it by the time March's data gets released and Fortnite mobile numbers are included. On the mobile game front Arena of Valor remained #1 worldwide and the usual suspects of mobile titles remained in top list. Sony's Fate/Grand Order was the only waifu collector in the top list last month as well. League of Legends remains the highest grossing PC game, which shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Superdata also reported that Fortnite's active users have just recently surpassed that of Grand Theft Auto V, so expect Fortnite's rankings to increase next month.
