Bubbles. They are marvelous things that thrill children, turn gum into an art form, and apparently ward off evil barbarians from being naughty. Of course the danger of bubbles is that every so often… they pop. The so-called “god bubbles” have been failing at Conan Exiles, causing some corrective action to take place: “We’ve been aware of a critical issue affecting the functionality of Shrine protection, or ‘god bubbles,’ which would make them disappear on server restart under certain circumstances. Our team has been working hard on providing a fix for it.” And this is just the beginning of the rest of the news! Read on for a roundup of other smaller MMO news stories and videos from this past week in this edition of The MOP Up (and if you don’t see a news story that we should have covered, drop us a tip)! [With thanks to Steve for our intro tip here!] Good news for Overwatch fans: You’re finally getting … [Read more...] about The MOP Up: Conan Exiles pops its god bubbles

Raise your hand if you weren’t expecting to see the words EverQuest Next pop up this week. Yeah, we’re right there with you. But they did, along with the words Jumpgate spiritual successor, Star Wars Galaxies, Warframe is six, Funcom’s new Secret World game, and free Guild Wars 2 episode. It’s been a ride, people. I feel like every week since 2019 began has gotten progressively more news. Like, I’m not even kidding. Yes, we finally have new information on Ascent: Infinite Realm. It’s brief, but it’s here. The team behind A:IR have taken the time to show us screenshots of the new “city in the sky”, “Inventus” – a large ship that was initially used as an evacuation ship. Before MapleStory 2 there existed a cuter, side-scrollier version of MapleStory called.. well, MapleStory. For those of you unaware of what Pagan Online is.. well, think Diablo or Path of Exile. Yup. We got another competitor ready to enter the ring and from what I’ve seen Pagan Online looks pretty damn cool. I’m not sure if fans will be happy they’ll be receiving more frequent content or upset that it won’t be of the same caliber in this update from the team behind Warframe. I’d neglected to mention this update the last couple weeks … [Read more...] about MMORPG News: New MMOs Last Oasis, Ascent Infinite Realm, Pagan Online, Astellia, Pantropy & More!
The FIX PUBG campaign, or the start of it, is materializing today, as the latest update to hit the PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds test servers tackles some of Bluehole’s to-do list, adding a new weapon, scooter, camera settings, reporting system tweaks, changes for custom matches, and bugxies. Cutest scooters ever. As for the Tukshai, “The Tukshai is an upcoming Sanhok exclusive three-wheeled vehicle which we’d originally planned to release in the month after Sanhok came to live servers. Due to higher priority development tasks and the extra fine tuning required to make driving experience of the three-wheeled Tukshai feel just right, it will now be released in September.” Meanwhile, the game’s mobile edition reached a new milestone this week: It’s been downloaded over 100 million times with 14 million daily players, and it’s only been running for four months. More impressively, those figures don’t count China, Japan, or Korea. … [Read more...] about PUBG’s new scooters are freakin’ adorable and I want one
This is the full version of entries that have been published in the last week! I just thought it might be nicer to have everything in one huge entry instead of in separate ones (either way: You can find all entries in the category labelled “rift vs. lotro vs. wow” on the right). The topic I wrote some time ago about “Rift vs. LotRO” is still getting readers almost every day. Unfortunately, it is probably not the kind of topic they were looking for. So, since I’ve played both games (at least for a little while), I thought I would make an elaborate posting about those games. I’m also going to throw in World of Warcraft because, apart from playing it as well, the big majority of MMO gamers have played the game or know something about the game, at least. :) (After starting to write this, I realised how long this entry would be in the end and decided to split it into different topics to be posted separately. So expect a posting every day for the next few … [Read more...] about Rift vs. LotRO vs. World of Warcraft – a closer look at all three MMOs (all entries in one)
