Dreadnought is now on Steam, and having played it a few times in open beta and now on Steam, we’ve got some thoughts! Dreadnought is an 8 versus 8 action strategy PvP MMO where players control huge capital warships. In similar fashion to games like World of Tanks and World of Warships, Dreadnought utilizes familiar mechanics. Is Dreadnought worth playing in 2018? What Is Dreadnought? At the heart of the game are the ships and there are five classes of ships. Each class is unique to a play style, such as support for repairing team mates or artillery for long ranged damaged. What I liked about the ships was that they each had a distinct job to do in every match, which made experimenting with them fun. Controlling the ships are pretty easy as well, and they can fire primary, secondary and utility weapons at enemy ships. Is World of Warships worth playing? Here’s our take on Wargaming.net’s naval PvP MMO. Why World of Warships? In most War Games, battleships are bombed and rendered useless by aircraft before they actually display any sort of stealth or combat potential. Fortunately for fans of the genre, Wargaming’s free-to-play naval simulator gives these beastly warships the epic battles game developers have previously denied them. The fighting takes place in specific locations, each has very distinct, and quite realistic atmospheric conditions. The locations include the Atlantic, Pacific, and Arctic oceans. When it comes to popular games, it seems as though writers don’t feel that they have to extol their virtues. They’re already popular, after all. Instead, it becomes the trend to slant to the sharply critical, perhaps to serve as a counter-balance to that popularity. And so it is with World of Warcraft. Fourteen years after its launch, this fantasy MMORPG is still relatively popular and has incited countless cycles of attraction and rejection among its playerbase. People love to grouse about it because of its prominent status, but what I see a lot less often is an open admission as to what makes the game so attractive and fun as to pull millions of players into it on a regular basis.
